What is Boroplast?
Boroplast is the process for the layer-by-layer, mechanically compacted backfilling of exploratory boreholes
In one word: more safety in the building site.
Boroplast makes the backfilling of boreholes in civil engineering safe.
No settlement, no water penetration, no subsidence of the filling.
Safe building ground even after the exploratory drilling
The subsoil is disturbed by exploratory drilling and its backfilling. The type of backfilling has more of an effect on destabilizing the subsoil than the drilling itself.
The solution lies in the type of filling.
The new Boroplast process brings new safety and stability to the drilled subsoil.
For the first time, it has been possible to fill boreholes in compacted layers on a mass scale. Quality layer by layer.
Mechanical compaction of cohesive building materials in the borehole.
procedure
The exploratory borehole is sunk and cased.
After probing, the protective tube is pulled out.
From the borehole depth down to -3,000 mm, conventional backfilling is used.
From -3,000 mm to GOK, the material is compacted in layers and filled mechanically.
Sealing material in the target moisture content is poured in layers and compacted using a tamping piston.
The result is a dynamically resilient, dense filling element.
Advantages of the procedure
No settlement.
The sealing material is mechanically compacted to such an extent that cavities are compressed to such an extent that subsequent settlement is unlikely.
Hydraulically tight.
The cohesive building material is so compacted that surface water is prevented from penetrating the subsoil. The system is hydraulically tight.
Dynamically resilient.
Due to its elastoplastic properties and its ground-adapted stiffness, the Boroplast sealing element can withstand cyclical dynamic loads.
CO2-neutral building material
Environmentally and climate-friendly process. Positive carbon footprint. No cost risks, for example due to CO2 pricing.
Moving
- The push chain drives the tamping piston
- Powerful mechanical compaction with a contact pressure of 4 - 15 KN (controllable)
- powerful, void-free compaction
- low installation height thanks to push chain technology
- Robust, solid drive technology that has been tried and tested for 50 years
Reliable, Proven, Environmentally Friendly
In the Boroplast process, exploratory boreholes are filled in layers with a specially developed cohesive building material. This building material is poured in layers and compressed to its target density in a single stroke using a mechanically driven tamping piston.
Reliable quality management. Accurate recording of machine data and digital documentation of compaction data. Mechanical process and more reliable compaction results.
Environmentally friendly, natural, CO2 neutral building material. In contrast to cement-bound suspensions, the CO2 balance is positive. The risk of increased costs due to CO2 pricing is averted with Boroplast.
